Coldeast
The former Coldeast Hospital site has been identified by Fareham Borough Council as a Strategic Development Allocation in its draft Core Strategy. This is a comprehensive are-based policy which includes that part of the site which benefits from an existing planning permission (Lot 1), part of which is currently being constructed by Miller Homes, expansion of healthcare facilities on land owned by the PCT, additional residential development, the restoration and reuse of the locally listed buildings and structures (including the Mansion House) and the provision of land for community facilities, including open space on Lot 2. The Council are also currently preparing a draft Supplementary Planning Document for the site that will set the overall development aspirations and design principles for the site and to help further inform the local community. The draft SPD document has been published by the Council for public consultation.
The information on the web site relates to the draft proposals for the development of the Lot 2 site that have been prepared by Miller Homes in response to the draft SPD.
